May 30 & 31 - Annual Campout/Breakfast and Fishing Along the Shetucket
About 12 campers had some good fishing before the rainstorm came. Duke provided hot dogs, chips and soda for all who wanted one. The fire wood was brought by Ray & Jim Schaefer and stories by George DeGray.
We had a great turnout for Saturday's breakfast. Duke cooked up the French toast & pancakes, Jen Miner made eggs to order, Jackie manned the coffee and I the sausage and hash browns. After breakfast the "fun" fly cast contest started with a "LeMans" start... a 30 foot dash to the rod n' reels. The first one to catch a stuffed trout with a Velcro fly and land it in the net was the winner.
